Paddling Swan Necklace

Each beautiful silver and gold swan necklace is handmade with intricate attention to detail in our Northamptonshire workshop. Gently polished to catch the light, its 9ct gold feet rock backwards and forwards telling a story of calm and grace above water while madly paddling below. Cast using 100% recycled 9ct gold and sterling silver and assayed by the Goldsmiths Company in London this stunning necklace would not only be the perfect choice for anyone who loves nature and the English countryside but who is also looking to make more sustainable choices. 

Part of a collection of jewellery inspired by a beautiful poetry book with embossed daisies on the cover and handcut pages that I discovered on my Grandma's book shelf- A Bird Lovers Anthology. Swans have left their image throughout history, from fossils in caves and the crusades of Richard I, to Arthurian Legend and Greek mythology. These graceful birds are recognisable by their thick white plumage, orange beak and their long S-shaped necks that when curved together form a perfect heart- they pair for life, it is no wonder that for many they are a symbol of love, loyalty and strength.

Elegantly gift packaged in a stunning signature box with specially designed tissue paper that reflects the story of this beautiful collection. All orders are sent out in eco-friendly recyclable or biodegradable packaging. Please allow 3-4 weeks to receive your jewellery as this necklace is individually handmade to order.
